We will scale-up and deliver a new technology to increase water availability for long-term water resilience/security. Recycled water for industrial consumption will be sustainably produced using waste heat and wastewater. Implementation across the water sector will address increasing industrial freshwater demands, including for hydrogen production.

“This is the first Water-Discovery-Challenge project to graduate on to win Catalyst-funding. We’ll take final-effluent from wastewater treatment and use sources of waste-heat to produce water clean enough for use in industrial applications like hydrogen production. Waterwhelm’s pioneering technology helps meet demand from industry without depleting supplies to household customers.”
