How to innovate in crisis situations

In late 2021, the Ofwat Innovation Fund launched a new series of free, informal lunchtime learning events that showcase new technologies and innovation methods, and host discussions about how they could be applied in the water sector.

This session in the On the Menu series took place at 12:30pm – 1:30pm (GMT) Tuesday 30 November and investigated the role of innovation in crisis situations.

Event Description

This On the Menu session will explore the role of innovation in the climate crisis. Join us to talk about why innovation is so crucial in crisis situations and hear from Mark Fletcher, Arup Fellow and Global Water Business Leader, about innovative approaches and solutions borne out of extreme situations including lessons learned from the City Water Resilience Approach including the Cape Town Day Zero crisis and Hull.
