SEAL Water Technology Ltd has developed ‘Active Pulse Leak Detection’ – an innovative, patent-protected, leak-detection technology. It addresses the limitations of the current best detection technology of ‘correlating acoustic sensors’ which are range limited to a few hundred metres by the fundamental physics of sound in water. The crux of the innovation is a new signal transmission technology that does not attenuate and, in addition to identifying and ranging leaks, it can identify and range pipe features such as tee and elbows. These features can be identified up to 7.5 kilometres. No other technology can do this.
